Tide Pool with Crab and Joyce Quote
The crabs that live in the bay near my house are very small.
Today’s quote comes from p. 100 of James Joyce’s Ulysses. We are in a print shop. That is, I think we are, you never quite know in this book.
It is amusing to view the unpar one ar alleled embarra two ars is it? double ess ment of a harassed pedlar while gauging au the symmetry with a y of a peeled pear under a cemetery wall (p. 100 Gabler).
In the next line, the narrator is impressed by the parallel between symmetry and cemetery. One has to appreciate a person who can laugh at their own jokes.
