Junk Journal Week 23

I wrote earlier about the Segal collection; I will post my thoughts on Reva’s book later today.

It was good to finish the Max show Hacks, but the first couple episodes were rough to watch.

I watched Infernal Affairs with my daughter; you may have seen the Scorsese remake The Departed. Probably my fifth time seeing the picture. It is both a police/crime thriller as well as a meditation on identity and shifting allegiances. Wonderful.

My wife and I watched Wes Anderson’s The Royal Tennenbaums. There is much greatness in this picture. Gene Hackman’s performance is one of those things.
