Pivot
I spent some time yesterday looking at dictionary entries and doing image searches for things related to pivot. None of what I saw inspired me. So, I suppose I am mostly off prompt today. That is not a bad thing.
The photograph is of the salad that came with a kebob at a restaurant in the old city of Damascus from a trip in 2009 when my family and I lived in Beirut. Have you been to any part of Syria?
The quote today comes from a Stephen King story called L.T.’s Theory of Pets. It is found in his collection Everything’s Eventual. I was listening to an audiobook of this story while walking around the neighborhood this morning. So far I am enjoying these stories. Usually one every morning. I feel strongly that story collections are best read one story per day. Two maximum. They lose their power if you read too many at once, at least in my opinion.

are getting along better

a Dear John note
on your refrigerator door.
Today was not too bad, but the biting insects are making me less enthusiastic about walking outside lately.
