Around the World Book Club: Greece

 

Last night we had our monthly Around the World Book Club. The topic was Greece. Everyone chooses their own book connected to the topic and shares their thoughts with the group. I chose a couple of poems by Sappho and the Lord’s Prayer from the New Testament. I read the texts in Greek and in translation and shared a few thoughts. Others read English language novels set in Greece or Cyprus.

Our branch library in Galloway is closed while they install a new HVAC system. So, we met at the Absecon library which was a first for me. It was a good gathering.
