Mixed Media Apple and Bookworm from Recycled Materials
I went through my box of index cards and found a couple to reuse today.
What have I been doing?
It looks like it will rain all day today in my part of Southeast New Jersey near the Atlantic.
Reading:
I am not quite ten percent into Tokarczuk's Books of Jacob. I one story into Klay's Redeployment. I hope to make some progress on at least one of them this morning.
Listening:
I am enjoying Branford Marsalis music from the Netflix pictures Rustin and Ma Rainey's Black Bottom. I still have not managed to watch either one, but they are available with my Netflix subscription. So one day soon.
I listened to the first episode of the new Serial podcast Guantanamo. The producers describe it as follows:
Serial Season 4 is a history of Guantánamo told by people who lived through key moments in Guantánamo’s evolution, who know things the rest of us don’t about what it’s like to be caught inside an improvised justice system.
I also listened to Michael Silverblatt's interview with Anne Beattie about her collection The New Yorker Stories. I have yet to read any of her work. My impression is that the best as approach would be to read no more than one per day. Have any of you read her work?
What are you doing today? I'd love to hear from you in the comments!
