Bookworm Visits NYC

Yesterday I joined Stockton University’s OGRE (Order of Greco-Roman Enthusiasts) for a trip to New York where we had a guided tour of St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and we visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see a special exhibit on Africa and Byzantium.

 I spent much of my day thinking about the visual symbol of the halo in Orthodox icons.
