Here's the Deal with Joe Biden

I've been listening to podcasts since 2006. Today I discovered a new one hosted by Vice President Biden. I listened to episode 4: One Presidential Leadership with Jon Meacham. Some snippets I liked:

On FDR: he believed in bold, persistent experimentation to combat the great depression. And he also believed it was important to be honest with the American people about what worked and what didn't.

On President Kennedy: he was willing to learn on the job -- he called Eisenhower during the Cuban missile crisis when he realized his approach was not working.

On Lincoln: he insisted on having an election in the fall of 1864, knowing that three years of blood and sweat might be undone by a president willing to overturn everything he had worked for if he lost re-election.
