Recent Reading: The Outsider

 

Stephen King’s The Outsider starts out as a straightforward police procedural and, later, changes into a supernatural thriller. Overall, I liked the book even if I think it started to lose something in the last 50 pages.

King is, first and foremost, a storyteller. But I do enjoy his brief asides from the story like in the line I quoted here where he comments on the use of metaphor.
