Recent Reading: Magnolia Wu Unfolds It All

Magnolia Wu has been bored this summer in her parents’ laundromat, until, one day, she makes friends with a girl named Iris and the two become sock detectives walking around their NYC neighborhood. Chanel Miller’s book is a charming middle grade novel that also has some great illustrations, all done by Miller as well. The book is, perhaps, a little slow at the start, but, overall, I enjoyed the book.

I have yet to read Miller’s first book, Know My Name, but I definitely plan to now.
