Starting Paper Sparrows

My family and I lived in Beirut during the 2008-2009 academic year and I taught at the American University of Beirut. We lived steps from the Mediterranean.

Nathalie Abi-Ezzi begins her novel Paper Sparrows with impressions of Beirut after living abroad for some time. My first impression was the humidity. We all enjoyed our time in Lebanon and enjoyed the people we met and had a chance to visit much of the country as well as two trips to Damascus.
