Ulysses in 80: Day 3


This summer I am, for probably the fourth time, participating in Ulysses in 80. As the name suggests, the goal is to read James Joyce’s Ulysses over an eighty day period. Today is day and I noted this sentence as I read today:

Secrets, silent, stony sit in the dark palaces of both our hearts: secrets weary of their tyranny: tyrants, willing to be dethroned (p. 24, Vintage Gabler edition).
