Recent Reading: We Still Belong

The publisher summarizes Christine Day’s middle grade novel:

Wesley’s hopeful plans for Indigenous People’s Day (and asking her crush to the dance) go all wrong — until she finds herself surrounded by the love of her Indigenous family and community at the intertribal powwow.

I found the book well-written and engaging. If you are looking for a great middle grade book for someone between 8 and 12, then We Still Belong would be a good choice.
