Junk Journal Week 35
This past week I watched only one movie, which is unusual for me. This dearth of movie watching is a sign of how busy people in my house are as a new academic year starts. I saw the 1993 movie In the Line of Fire — a movie that I saw on the big screen thirty two years ago and a couple of times since then. It is one of the first pictures where Clint Eastwood plays a character who admits he is aging. I also saw several episodes of the television shows Foundation, Strange New Worlds, and Peacemaker as well as the random episode of Barney Miller.
Chuck Klosterman’s book on the nineties was the highlight of my reading week. Caroline Pilhegas’ book was pretty good, but I do not recommend Katya Balen’s first novel written for adults after writing a number of well regarded children’s books.
Most of the books I bought this week were inspired by Klosterman’s book and my desire to read some of the books of the nineties I have not yet read.
