Oak and Maple Leaf Gelliprint Made After Raking
Currently I am listening to Fela Kuti: Fear No Man which is available as an Audible audiobook or a free podcast where ever you find your pods. If you know nothing about the late musician and activist Fela Kuti this audiobook is an excellent place to start.
I am about two thirds of the way through Denmark Dayle’s How to Dodge a Connonball which I am not enjoying nearly as much as I thought I would.
Instead I would recommend Percival Everett’s Dr No — although pretty much everything Everett has written is worth reading —,
Paul Beatty’s The Sellout,
or Jason Mott’s Hell of a Book. These are three recent excellent experimental and humorous novels about the African American experience.
What about you?
What have you been reading?
