Current Reading: The Dog of the South

 

This morning I started reading -- The Dog of the South by Charles Portis which came from my public library's interlibrary loan service.

Portis is porbably best known for his novel True Grit which was adapted for the big screen twice.

Portis begins his novel with this line:

My wife Norma had run off with Guy Dupree and I was waiting around for the credit card billings to come in so I could see where they had gone.

I expect to enjoy the book.
